PFCG Roles – Authorizations Part II

After having examined the first steps of authorization management respectively the role design, we now take a high level look at the authorizations tab.

As can be seen above we have a given structure for our authorizations. Basically, the structural hierarchy is Group > Object > Authorization > Field. Though this seems complex, for your daily business you can rely only on the hierarchy node “Object” and the below leaves.

This given structure supports you in a great way, since it helps you organize your authorizations for each single role. In general you start from the object and then actually simply define the correlated authorization and its fields to fit your needs. And always think of the value help F4! Therewith you have all information at one place.
