My name is Bastian Strehle, born and raised in Augsburg, Bavaria and this private blog was created out of my passion for authorization management and conception. Since 2014 I am working as a consultant, mainly in the area of Business Intelligence (BI). So, why should I blog about authorizations instead of BI content, you are certainly wondering. Since I lead you to this question, let me shortly answer it:

Authorizations are everywhere and everyone is in need of managing those. Especially, when working in a heterogenic IT system landscape and with quite diverse data – as it is usually the case with BI. Hence, I had maaany “thouch points” with authorizations to get to the data. And slowly I transformed from a sole BI consultant to a security consultant with the mission to protect data and design efficient ways for authorization management.

I have been creating authorization concepts for big public customers as well as for single solutions like a new dashboard for production companies. The technical implementation of authorizations is manageable – the perfect security concept quite more complex.
